2003 didn’t have a theme but many of the designers were inspired by punk and classic styles from that time. A lot of them were also inspired by architecture and the 1920’s. This gave an interesting mix to the show that left the crowd to figure out where the designers drew their inspiration from.

Threads 2004 had a chic and dark New York theme. The designers were inspired by the different aspects of New York and that allowed them to really get creative.

Threads 2005 had an industrial theme with dark neutral colors. The designers found inspiration from old New York in the 1930’s.

Threads 2006 had an innocent and pure theme. Most of the designs consisted of light colors and angelic designs.   

Threads 2007 was focused around a masquerade theme. There was a lot of dark colors and shades of blues in this show. It allowed the designers to put their own twist on what masquerade balls meant to them.

Since Threads 2008 was the 10th anniversary of Threads, designers got their inspirations from themselves. There was no official theme for Threads other than what the designers wanted. It allowed the designers to create whatever was in their mind.

2011 did not have a theme. Each designer picked a season they loved and based their collection around what inspired them.

The theme for the 2014 Threads show was "Out of the Gallery". The designers and production class used beautiful art as the inspiration for their designs.

Threads 2015 was mainly focused around the new Threads logo. This was the year Threads reinvented itself to it’s own trademark and that inspired the designers to be glamorous and innovative.     

Threads 2016 was centered on Fashion Lab. This theme allowed the designers to be extremely creative and innovative. The vision for the venue was a lab, and many students' designs fit into that vision.
